3rd Annual Professional Firefighters Ride For Charity
On September 16, 2023, 19 Professional Firefighters from Port Moody Fire Local 2399, and Burnaby Fire Local 323 will be cycling 150km straight from Port Moody Fire Hall 1 to Harrison Hot Springs in support of Blueprint. Blueprint is a non-profit organization that provides mental health resources for B.C. First Responders through innovative programming and research initiatives. Firefighters along with other First Responders are exposed to various traumas while working in a high stress occupationally hazardous environment, this trauma over time can have a major impact on our mental health. Organizations like Blueprint are so incredibly important in providing help and support to make sure your First Responders can continue to help others when they are needed most.
We have a goal to raise at least $20,000, but are hoping to far surpass that number. All of our proceeds will be going directly to Blueprint and their First Responder Initiatives, and will be used to fund much needed research, programs, and support for First Responders
